Mō mātou | About us

At Cleared With Care, we support people experiencing Chronic Disorganisation, Hoarding Disorder behaviours and overwhelm in their living or storage spaces.

Our work is practical and people-focused. We don’t just clear spaces ~ we work alongside people to reduce overwhelm, restore function and create safer, more manageable homes that support everyday living and wellbeing.

We deliver services across Aotearoa and there may be opportunities to travel as part of this role.

We are looking for a committed Care Coordinator to support client assessments, develop Care Plans, and deliver a wide range of services that enable clients to reach their individual goals or complete estate-related needs. This is a hands-on, practical role, working directly with clients and their whānau or support people — not an admin-only position.

This is a contracting role, with flexible hours and locations depending on client needs.

The hours vary due to the private services, estate services, relocations and social supports provided. Some weeks there may be 2 hours and other weeks, you may have over 40 hours.

Some work may take place in the evenings or weekends to meet the client needs, so adaptability is important.

Mō tēnei mahi | About this job

This is a hands-on role working directly with clients, their belongings and in their personal spaces with a strong wellbeing and mental health lens.

No two days are the same. You may be:

Supporting clients to sort and make decisions about belongings
Decluttering and organising living or storage spaces
Undertaking cleaning activities (e.g. wiping surfaces, clearing waste, sanitation resets, or preparing an estate for sale)
Packing, moving, or redistributing items and supporting transitions within the home or to alternative spaces
Completing client assessments and contributing to safety planning
Assisting with rubbish removal, donations and storage management
Providing calm, practical, and emotional support to achieve Care Plan goals
Working alongside other professionals (e.g. social services, health providers, housing providers, clinical specialists) and advocating for clients or whānau
Accurately recording and maintaining case notes within our Client Management System (CMS)
️ Important to Know (Please Read Carefully)
This is not a standard cleaning or organising role.

Progress can be slow and non-linear, and cleaning and clearing is often just one part of a wider behavioural and wellbeing journey.

You must be comfortable working in environments that may be challenging or unpredictable, while maintaining professionalism, respect, and care for the client and their belongings.

You may be working in environments that include:

Hoarded environments and spaces (high volume of belongings)
Rubbish accumulation or unsanitary conditions
Dust, odours, pests, or biohazards (managed safely with protocols)
Trip hazards, restricted access, or unsafe layouts
The role includes identifying and working safely around Health & Safety risks, following CWC protocols and using appropriate PPE when required.

Mōu | About you

To support meaningful outcomes for the people we work alongside, you will bring the following skills and qualities:

Empathy ~ you genuinely care about people and their stories
Confidence with hands-on work, including cleaning, clearing and practical tasks
Patience ~ you understand that behaviour change takes time
A non-judgemental approach ~ you meet people where they are
Strong awareness of Health & Safety, with the ability to recognise and respond to risks
Respectful communication with clients, whānau and professionals
Good time management and the ability to complete basic reporting requirements
Flexibility and adaptability ~ every home and situation is different
Cultural awareness and respect, including an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi | Treaty of Waitangi principles
Availability and flexibility to meet the changing needs of clients and scheduled work
Physical capability and stamina to carry out the practical, hands-on work (lifting, bending, and being on your feet for sustained periods)
An understanding you may be working in environments that may be cluttered, hoarded, or unclean
Willingness to follow Health & Safety processes and use PPE to keep yourself and others safe

Application Requirements

Full driver’s licence and reliable transport
Ability to meet all Police or Ministry of Justice vetting requirements (mandatory)
Legal right to work in New Zealand

If you are motivated to support people and whānau through life transitions and making space for life, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll be part of supporting meaningful change ~ helping clients create safer, more functional spaces that support their wellbeing, independence and day-to-day living.
