Overview:
The Respiratory Care Practitioner I, under close supervision, conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, provides and evaluates basic patient care with assistance to an assigned group of patients according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care. Will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
New graduate or RCP with less than 1 year critical care experience.
Basic knowledge of respiratory care principles and equipment. Ability to maintain a calm demeanor and assist in crises and emergencies; prioritize patient care tasks; communicate tactfully, professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing.
Education/Licensure/Certifications:
Graduate of CoARC accredited Respiratory Therapy Program. RCP license from the state of California. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the NBRC. Current American Heart Association(AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) required.
Hours: Part-Time (7pm - 7am)

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
