Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Resident Service & Admissions Coordinator to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents and their families, guiding them through the admissions process with enthusiasm and professionalism. You will coordinate resident services, ensuring a welcoming environment that promotes independence, well-being, and community engagement. Your energetic approach will help foster positive relationships, support behavioral health needs, and facilitate smooth transitions for new residents. Duties
• Act as the primary contact for prospective residents, providing detailed information about community services and admission criteria
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine eligibility, including understanding of Medicaid COPES requirements
• Facilitate the application process by guiding residents through paperwork, documentation, and necessary approvals
• Coordinate with social workers, healthcare providers, and workforce development agencies to support resident needs
• Manage resident records with accuracy and confidentiality, including behavioral health histories and addiction counseling notes
• Implement crisis intervention strategies when needed, ensuring safety and appropriate support for residents experiencing behavioral or mental health crises
• Provide ongoing mentoring and support to residents to promote independence and community involvement

Skills
• Strong knowledge of crisis management techniques and behavioral health principles
• Experience in addiction counseling or mental health support services
• Skilled in motivational interviewing to encourage positive change and engagement
• Proven supervising experience with staff or volunteers in social work or related fields
• Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs, child welfare systems, Medicare policies, and workforce development initiatives
• Ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention skills
• Compassionate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills to foster trust and rapport with diverse populations
• Knowledge of childcare best practices and mentoring strategies to support families within the community
