Role:
NationsBenefits is seeking a detail-oriented Business Product & Project Manager Intern to support our Client
Services team. This internship is ideal for a motivated individual looking to develop a career in healthcare operations,
client services, and business analytics. This role will work closely with Client Services Managers and other internal
departments to ensure the successful execution of client programs, provide project and product management support,
and contribute to overall business operations.
Location:
• Onsite in Plantation, FL full time.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Client Support & Operations:
• Assist Client Service Managers with day-to-day operational tasks, including responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Track and monitor client deliverables, such as reporting timelines, project deadlines, and client requests.
• Support account onboarding and program implementation efforts by coordinating data collection, tracking requirements, and updating internal systems.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements to streamline processes and enhance the client experience.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client program details, processes, and system configurations in Confluence.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Operations, IT, Product, and Finance, to address client issues and ensure alignment on deliverables.
• Act as a liaison between Client Services and technical teams to communicate requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: Pursing bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Actively enrolled in University or College
• Technical Proficiency:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Excel PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Power BI) is a plus.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or other project management tools is preferred.
• Core Competencies:
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.

Role Description

The role involves a combination of administrative and clinical tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient communications, coordinating care plans, assisting healthcare providers, and maintaining patient records. The Medical Assistant/Patient Care Coordinator will work closely with patients to ensure a seamless and supportive care experience, with an emphasis on efficiency and professionalism.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in Appointment Scheduling and expertise in maintaining professional Phone Etiquette
• Experience in Care Coordination and ensuring seamless patient transitions across services
• Solid understanding of Medical Terminology to support effective communication and documentation
• Experience with direct Patient Care in clinical settings, demonstrating empathy and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with patients and a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge of insurance processes and workflows is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional relevant certifications are advantageous

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Provides direct nursing care pre, during and post procedure, under the direction of the Facility Manager, Director of Nursing and/or Charge Registered Nurse, utilizing standard nursing techniques to assist the physician in optimum patient outcomes following facility policies and procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALITY:
• Responsible for supporting and driving organization quality standards through meeting regulatory and accrediting body requirements and the practice of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), including use of CQI tools.
• Assists with implementation of organization quality goals and facility specific action plans in order to achieve organization quality standards.
• Accountable for outstanding quality of patient care, as defined by the organization quality goals, to ensure that organization policies and procedures are followed.
• Responsible for addressing and acting on adverse events and action thresholds in collaboration with facility management.
• Maintains integrity of medical records and other organization administrative and operational records.
