About the Role
The Practice Development Nurse – Specialist is responsible for supporting the professional development of all permanent and program staff across our clinical settings. Their primary role is to ensure best practice by providing ongoing education and support for all staff with particular focus on the advancement of knowledge, skills and training with relevance to the clinical setting. This will be achieved by implementing clinically based education using the principles of Evidenced Based Practice to improve the delivery of nursing care. Furthermore, they will be responsible for their own professional development in order to maintain expert clinical skills and advanced knowledge.

Classifications for this position will range from RN35 ($124,368.40 per annum pro rata).

Your Contribution
Minimum 5 years nursing experience.
Experience in clinical teaching, clinical supervision, or implementation and facilitation of educational programs.
High-level learning and development facilitation experience and presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines.
Competent computer skills including; PowerPoint, excel, word.
Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About Education and Learning
St Vincent’s provides extensive Education and Learning (E&L) support and services to staff and students across the health service. The educational team members are based across multiple campuses including Fitzroy, St George’s Hospital Kew, St Vincent’s on the Park East Melbourne, Caritas Christi Hospice Kew and Port Phillip Prison. This position will primarily be based at St Vincent’s on the Park in Fitzroy with the expectation of travel to other campuses and health services as required.
