About the opportunity:

We are looking for an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate to join our Corporate team based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience across a breadth of corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, shareholder arrangements, corporate structuring and capital raising. Commercial experience in drafting and advising on commercial contracts will also be called upon. This is a great opportunity to further your career by working on large sized national and international deals, as well as being a valued member of the team and mentoring and developing others.

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will have 3–8 years’ solid experience in corporate law, with proven expertise in mergers and acquisitions, and will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

Relevant experience and transferrable skills, having worked in a similar position on matters of a similar scale.
Ability to work autonomously as well as mentor more junior lawyers within the team.
Personable, with well-developed communication skills.
Excellent technical skills and knowledge.
Comfortable working in a high energy environment with the ability to think on their feet.
A passion for this area of law and a flair for teamwork and collaboration.
