Security Officer – Behavioral Health Clinic

Obsidian Security is seeking professional, composed, and reliable Security Officers for a behavioral health clinic in the Phoenix area. This is not a typical guard post, we are looking for individuals who can maintain a calm presence, communicate effectively, and handle situations with professionalism and restraint.

Position Details
• Pay: $22.50/hour
• Location: Phoenix, AZ (Maryvale area)
• Shifts: 12-hour shifts
• Schedule Options:
• Position 1: 3 days per week
• Position 2: 2 days per week
• Daytime coverage during clinic operating hours (0730 - 1930)

What You’ll Be Doing
• Maintain a visible, professional presence at the facility
• Monitor access points and observe activity
• Identify and address potential safety concerns early
• Use verbal de-escalation as the primary tool
• Coordinate with staff and contact emergency services when necessary
• Complete detailed incident reports

What This Role Is NOT

This position is strictly security-focused:
• No clinical or therapeutic responsibilities
• No ongoing patient management
• No physical intervention unless required for immediate life safety

Requirements
• Valid Arizona Guard Card (Required)
• Ability to pass background check
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
• Experience in behavioral health, clinical, hospital, or crisis-response environments strongly preferred
• Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training or similar de-escalation training is a plus
• Must be comfortable working in a behavioral health environment
