Deodorizer Operator - Overnight

• **THIS POSITIONS WORKS FROM 7PM to 7:30AM***

Position Description:

Performs duties to produce products by monitoring and adjusting production equipment for the deodorizer line, with a Safety-minded attitude that maintains and enhances a Safety-culture for the benefit of the Company and its employees.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Produces edible product by following processing requirements according to specification; involves working with high-pressure air and steam lines
• Prepares equipment for operation by setting and adjusting controls
• Maintains operational work flow by following procedures; advising supervisor of irregularities
• Troubleshoots and diagnosis’s equipment problems
• Maintains specifications by observing operations; detecting malfunctions; and requesting maintenance assistance when necessary
• Maintains documentation by recording product flow rates, temperatures, etc.
• Enters production data into various computer programs
• Pulls samples, conducts analytical testing, records results, and adjusts process accordingly
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by cleaning, hosing floor, complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Operates forklift
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Able to speak, read, and write English
• Effective communication and analytical skills
• Basic math skills
• Able to measure accurately in feet and inches using tape measures and rulers
• Experience with valve configurations and tank movement
• Basic working knowledge of computers
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Able to work a rotating shift
• Able to work overtime and weekends as needed

Physical Requirements:
• Able to lift in excess of 50 pounds daily
• Able to tolerate extreme weather conditions; working outside
• Able to tolerate excessive walking; stair and ladder climbing; and tolerate heights, approximately 60% of day
• Movement requiring bending and twisting approximately 50% of day

Training Period:
• One to three months meeting all above requirements

This is a union position and comes with benefits provided by the union, upon completion of the 90 day probationary period. Benefits include: medical, vision and dental as well as 1 week of paid time off after 1 year of employment.
