Your New Role- Customs Broker
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Customs Broker with extensive knowledge in customs brokering to step into a leadership role within a rapidly expanding business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Check and lodge Formal Import Declarations in accordance with Customs and Biosecurity legislation
To mentor compilers/classifiers in order to increase compliance standards
Processing and classifying commodities
Liaising with ABF and DAWE
To indicate errors or inaccuracies with import declarations to team members
Check expiry date of registered documents and discharge expired securities.
To work to achieve KPIs required for each client at all times by ensuring the successful processing of their import clearances
Perform other duties as specified by manager when
required
Developing strong working relationships with both
internal and external clients
What you'll need to succeed:
Current ABF license including DAWE accreditation
Customs Brokers experience
Obtain required CPD points within CPD year
A high degree of numeracy, literacy, and analytical skills
Commercial focus and excellent customer service skills
Adaptable, ethical, and hands-on approach
Ability to effectively interact and network with internal/external stakeholders to facilitate professional movement of all shipments
First-class communication skills - written and verbal
Ability to prioritize and time-manage
Attention to detail
