About the role

As an Investment Data Analyst, you will support the delivery and ongoing improvement of ART’s investment data within the Investment Data and Systems team. You will contribute to the endtoend ingestion, transformation, and quality assurance of investment data to ensure it is accurate, timely, trusted, and fit for purpose. You will be responsible for reliably delivering daily investment data outputs, identifying and resolving data quality issues, reducing recurring defects, and supporting stakeholders through clear documentation and responsive, practical support.
Day to day, you'll:
Support daily investment data ingestion, transformation, validation, and delivery.
Investigate data issues and exceptions, coordinate resolution, and implement preventative controls.
Maintain stakeholder relationships for investment datasets and manage expectations.
Gather, document, and maintain business requirements and operating procedures.
Coordinate endtoend delivery of data changes, including planning, testing, and stakeholder signoff.
Support the management of external service providers delivering data services.
Maintain business and technical metadata to support data governance and trusted use.
Collaborate with IT, data, and project teams to design and test compliant data solutions.
This role is available as a 12-month max-term/ secondment opportunity.
About you
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
Degree in Data Science/Analytics/Business/Finance/Accounting/IT, or equivalent experience.
Superannuation/investments/financial services experience; market and/or custodian data exposure.
Experience resolving data and system issues (validation, accuracy, exceptions).
Proficient with data analysis/ETL and documentation tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Snowflake, JIRA, Confluence).
Experience with external data providers (e.g., Rimes, Bloomberg) and service outcomes.
Discreet handling of confidential information.
Promote risk management and compliance in day-to-day delivery.
