Department: Sciences & Technology

Salary: Approximately $6000 for 6 weeks (June 8 – July 17)

Summer Program Houston PREP Instructor requirements:

Houston PREP is designed to engage middle and high school students in STEM fields, to inspire creativity, to encourage interactive learning, to foster positive thinking.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge of Science, Technology, Mathematics fields
• Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse university community
• Dependable, professional, and positive responsibilities

Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of college level courses in Mathematics or Computer Science
• Education in lieu of experience

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Engineering, or similarly related fields
• Experience in lieu of education
