Work Location: University of Miami Hospital & Clinics - Nursing Progressive Care Unit (PCU) UTower
• The Department of Head/Neck and PCU has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Certified Nursing Assistant to work in UTower.
• The Certified Nursing Assistant performs standard patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• More specifically, the incumbent assists patients in dressing and undressing, bathing, and eating, and collects noninvasive body fluid specimens or gathers vital signs.
• Additionally, this employee aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures and documents patient interactions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification and Licensing:
CNA license and BLS certification.
Experience:
Minimum of 0 - 1 year of relevant Acute Care hospital experience

The UHT - Emergency Department has an exciting opportunity for a Per Diem Unit Secretary - Specialty (U) position. The Unit Secretary - Specialty (U) provides support to an assigned specialty unit by maintaining and updating patients’ records and performing administrative activities in compliance with all regulations.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Answers telephone calls and routes or takes messages appropriately.
• Greets visitors and medical staff to include providing directions when needed.
• Preserves a clean, safe, and functional work area in the assigned unit.
• Maintains unit inventory and orders supplies when appropriate.
• Maintains equipment in good working order at all times.
• Prepares reports and enters data and information into applicable systems.
• Keeps leadership and managing staff informed on unit issues.
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
