Job Title: Senior Apparel Wholesale Discount Store Designer (Missy & Missy Plus)

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Salary: $90,000/year

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Work Setting: On-site

We are seeking an experienced and highly creative Senior Apparel Wholesale Discount Store Designer (Missy & Missy Plus) to join our Los Angeles manufacturing team. This on-site role is responsible for designing apparel collections in the Missy and Missy Plus categories for major off-price and discount retail chains such as Ross Stores, Burlington, dd's DISCOUNTS, and TJ Maxx.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in wholesale apparel design, specifically in Missy and Missy Plus, with a sharp eye for trends and a strong understanding of the off-price retail market. This individual must be computer savvy, highly organized, and able to lead design projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and development of Missy and Missy Plus apparel collections for off-price and discount retail customers.
• Research seasonal fashion trends, silhouettes, fabrics, and customer preferences in the Missy and Plus-size markets.
• Create sketches, technical flats, tech packs, and design specifications using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Collaborate with merchandising, sales, and production teams to create trend-right and commercially viable products.
• Interpret buyer feedback and market demands into successful apparel designs.
• Manage multiple collections from concept through production handoff.
• Ensure products meet quality, margin, and timeline goals.
• Mentor junior designers and assist in maintaining efficient workflow processes.
• Organize and maintain digital design files and technical documentation.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of apparel design experience in wholesale manufacturing.
• Strong experience in Missy and Missy Plus apparel design.
• Experience designing for retailers such as Ross Stores, Burlington, dd's DISCOUNTS, and TJ Maxx is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric sourcing, fitting, and trend analysis.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Must be computer savvy and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles, Monday through Friday.
