Spray Operator

Must be able to foster BEL USA'S mission and core values to help drive the organization towards a more constructive culture and higher performance. In addition, the Spray Operator will spray products to make sure they are consistent to the customer’s request.

Essential Job Functions: (The reason this job exists is to perform these functions. These functions are performed regularly, seriously impacts other jobs, and there are a limited number of employees whom performance of the function can be distributed.)
• Perform equipment setup and preparation tasks
• Operate and maintain the spray machine(s)
• Change the spray booth filter(s), as needed
• Utilize water-based paint
• Utilize both automatic and manual spray machines
• Load, position and adjust unprinted materials on holding fixtures or in equipment loading and feeding mechanisms
• Clean and prepare containers for packing
• Push buttons, turn handles or move controls and levers to start and control printing machine(s)
• Inspect and examine printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects
• Monitor feeding, printing, and racking processes of presses to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions; make any necessary adjustments
• Place printed items in ovens to dry or set ink(s)
• Must wear personal protective equipment, if and when necessary
• Responsible for inspecting own work to ensure that the customer is receiving the highest quality product possible
• Maintain a clean and organized work area including performing general housekeeping duties i.e. sweeping, etc.
• Supports teamwork through active participation and/or by helping team ideas work
• Reliable, regular attendance is essential
• Performs duties safely and in accordance with Company safety policies
• Other duties and special projects as assigned by Manager or Supervisor

Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred

Experience/Knowledge Required
• 1+ years of experience in Manufacturing/Production Environment, preferred
• Results-oriented
• Strong, positive leadership skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
