Responsibilities Examines damaged vehicle and efficiently plans repair process. Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status. Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind. Makes decisions on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time. Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle and fenders. Participates in all required safety meetings. Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools. Directs the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions and explains procedures to assistant. Qualifications Ability to use frame machine. Certification in body repair preferred. Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer. I-CAR welding certified. Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data. Ability to supervise repair personnel. Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) in Cudahy is currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic for 2nd Shift (2:30pm -11:00pm) to join our team! This role will be reporting to our Operations Manager at our Aerospace Manufactory in Cudahy, CA.

Hourly Rate: $27 - $31 DOE + $2.50 Shift Differential
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
• Troubleshoot & repair various pieces of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic equipment
• Ensure that safety-related work orders are given top priority to ensure the safety of all CPP team members
• Perform scheduled preventative/predictive maintenance and emergency repairs
• Work on fabrication projects for all areas of the plant using a lathe/mill and various pieces of welding equipment
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3 years of previous experience in a Technical Maintenance role in an industrial manufacturing environment required for this position
• HS diploma or equivalent GED required, but candidates not meeting this requirement who possesses relevant experience will be considered.
