An exciting and rare opportunity to join a very fast growing, powerful independent builders merchant based in Chessington. The role of trade counter sales will be Explained below.

The role will come with full training and the opportunity to grow within the business along with salary.

Our working hours are 7am-5pm Mon-fri & alternate Saturday’s 7:30am-12pm

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchasing needs
Provide detailed product information and recommend suitable solutions based on customer requirements
Manage sales transactions efficiently using point-of-sale systems
Upsell products and promote special offers to maximise sales opportunities
Maintain organised merchandising displays to attract customer attention
Handle phone enquiries professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
Keep the sales area clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout the shift
Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
Support team members with organisational tasks to ensure smooth store operations
Skills

Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is advantageous
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on clear, friendly interaction
Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
Time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
Excellent phone etiquette when dealing with customer enquiries over the phone
Ability to upsell products tactfully to enhance sales performance
Merchandising skills to create appealing displays that drive customer engagement
