The Opportunity

An established and growing security services provider is seeking an Area Security Manager to oversee security operations across a portfolio of client sites throughout the Greater Chicago Area, with additional support responsibilities in neighboring states as needed.

This role is built for someone who prefers being in the field, understands the complexity of managing multiple active sites, and can confidently lead teams while maintaining strong client relationships. You’ll be responsible for keeping operations aligned, teams supported, and service levels consistent across your assigned territory.

What You’ll Be Doing

Multi-Site Operations
• Oversee daily operations across multiple client locations in your region
• Provide operational support to sites in neighboring states as needed
• Ensure consistent staffing, post coverage, and service delivery across all sites
• Maintain compliance with internal standards and applicable state/local regulations
• Respond quickly to operational issues, coverage gaps, and urgent site needs

Financial & Performance Oversight
• Manage labor performance across sites, including scheduling efficiency and overtime control
• Review timekeeping, payroll inputs, and billing alignment for accuracy
• Monitor site-level performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency

Client Engagement
• Act as a primary contact for client concerns within your territory
• Build strong relationships through responsiveness and consistent execution
• Proactively identify ways to enhance service and strengthen partnerships

Team Leadership
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, licensing and retention across assigned sites
• Coach and develop supervisors and officers to elevate performance
• Reinforce expectations around professionalism, accountability, and customer service
• Ensure proper use and upkeep of uniforms, equipment, and company-issued assets

Growth & Expansion
• Identify opportunities to expand services within existing locations
• Support new site launches and operational transitions
• Contribute ideas to improve service delivery and regional performance

What You Bring
• Experience managing multiple sites or locations in a service-based environment
• Strong understanding of labor management and operational performance
• Proven ability to lead distributed teams across different locations
• Comfortable making decisions in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and time & attendance systems (e.g. Valiant, Track Tik, etc.)

Requirements
• High school diploma required; additional education or equivalent experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel extensively within the Chicagoland Area with occasional travel out of state
• Ability to obtain required state security licenses/permits in IL (as applicable)
• Must pass background and motor vehicle checks

What to Expect
• Regular travel across your assigned region, including occasional support out of state
• A blend of on-site leadership and administrative coordination
• Availability for after-hours or emergency response when needed
• Handling of confidential and sensitive information

Pay: $57,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
