Automotive Mechanic

Position Details:

Job Title: Automotive Mechanic
Location: Auckland
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Minimum 35 hours per week
Pay Rate: $30 – $40 per hour, depending on experience and skills
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in motor vehicles
Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs
Repair or replace engines, brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and related components
Use diagnostic equipment and workshop tools safely and effectively
Test vehicles after repairs to ensure work is completed to a high standard
Maintain accurate job records and communicate repair findings
Keep work areas clean and follow health and safety procedures
Skills and Experience Required:

Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience as an Automotive Mechanic or Motor Mechanic,or a relevant Level 4 qualification.
Ability to work independently and complete repairs without supervision
Experience servicing and repairing a range of petrol and diesel vehicles
Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
