About the role

As a Laboratory Technician in our Quality Team, you’ll report to the Laboratory Manager and provide an effective technical and quality control service to DB Waitemata Brewery, with support to other DB manufacturing sites and subsidiaries as needed. Your focus will be delivering high-quality, accurate and timely lab support, while contributing to continuous improvement and maintaining a safe working environment.

What you’ll be doing

Delivering accurate and timely laboratory testing and quality support
Supporting quality control across the brewery and other DB sites as required
Contributing to continuous improvement of laboratory systems and processes
Supporting the Heineken Laboratory Star System (LSS)
Following established quality, safety, and laboratory procedures
Actively contributing to safety initiatives
Maintaining technical competence and supporting training where needed
What you’ll bring

Tertiary qualification in science, food technology, or a related field
1–2 years’ experience in a production or quality laboratory environment
Brewing Diploma (preferred, not essential)
Knowledge of quality systems and auditing
Familiarity with TPM, Lean, or continuous improvement practices
Experience or exposure to an ISO 17025 environment
An eye for detail, strong teamwork skills, and a positive attitude
