Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

RitzFMS is a growing Financial Management Services (FMS) company supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and seniors. Our work sits at the intersection of healthcare-adjacent compliance, real-world operations, and systems that must be reliable, secure, and auditable. We are a strong operational footprint and are building internal platforms and automations to support scale, compliance, and long-term stability. This will be our second engineering hire and the role comes with meaningful technical ownership.

Job Role:
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help design, build, and evolve internal systems that support core business operations. This role is hands-on and requires comfort operating in environments where steps must be made thoughtfully.

You will work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders, help define system architecture, and take ownership of end-to-end solutions. This will be an onsite role in the West Covina area.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement full-stack systems
Own architecture decisions and system design across services and workflows
Build back-end services, APIs, and integrations with third-party platforms
Develop and maintain front-end interfaces for internal tools
Make pragmatic tradeoffs between speed, technical debt, and long-term maintainability
Improve system reliability and security.
Participate in technical planning and help shape engineering standards
Collaborate directly with leadership and operations teams
Required Qualifications

2+ years building production full-stack applications
Strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills (React, Node.js ecosystem)
Experience designing systems and APIs, not just implementing tickets
Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Comfort working with ambiguity and evolving requirements Ability to debug across the stack — front-end, back-end, database, third-party APIs
Clear communication and ownership mindset
Preferred / Nice to Have Qualifications:

Authorization to work in the US
Experience with Next.js or similar React frameworks Third-party API integration experience (webhooks, OAuth, rate limiting)
Security-minded — experience securing web applications, preventing common attack vectors, and thinking about what could go wrong before it does DevOps experience (CI/CD, Docker, infrastructure-as-code)
Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy environments (healthcare, finance, government)
Experience working in small teams or early-stage environments
Practical engineering judgment

Clear, direct communication
Willingness to improve imperfect systems rather than rebuild everything from scratch

Compensation

General Pay Range: $60-100k Annual
