Job description
Glenfield Branch is hiring! Junior Technicians are welcome to apply! We are currently seeking a passionate, full-time Service Technician to join our Glenfield team in Auckland. Tasks & Responsibilities: 1) Carry out the service of ICT products, such as workstations, laptops, phones (Apple, Samsung and more), and tablets, including: • Installation and configuration software and hardware. • Repair and replace equipment including terminals, modems, printers, and other peripherals products. 2) Diagnose and resolve software and hardware problems, including: • Dismantling a laptop or desktop computer for component replacement, storage and RAM upgrades, data recovery, and backup. • Peripheral devices, such as terminals, printers, switches, and routers. • Diagnosis of faulty ICT products, especially PCs, laptops, phones, and tablets, solving hardware and software issues. 3) Selecting downloading, installing, and using updated software and programs for developing products: • Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated. • Instructing clients on software and or mobile app use. 4) Maintain a high quality, customer-focused approach to the delivery of services. • Helping customers for booking-in the service job and quotes. • Assisting customers with queries and providing information to solve problems.
Requirements
• Qualification in IT / Electronics / Computer Studies preferred • Excellent computer technical skills including Microsoft office, implementation, and end-user interaction, computer products, applications knowledge computer networking systems, and laptops/phone assembly/repair skills. • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. • Technical support to other team members for intractable problems. • Weekends and Public holidays works are expected in a retail environment.
