Roland Michener Secondary School is located in the town of Slave Lake in northern Alberta, in the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River. It is situated 257 km north of Edmonton on the southeast shore of Lesser Slave Lake at the junction of Highway 2 and Highway 88.

Roland Michener Secondary School is a Grade 7 to 12 school with an enrollment of approximately 620 students and 60 staff. Position Overview:

We are seeking an energetic and passionate Physical Education Teacher to join our team. At Roland Michener Secondary School, we pride ourselves on our robust PE program that leverages our excellent school and community resources to provide students with maximum exposure to living and leading a healthy, active lifestyle. The successful candidate will deliver dynamic, inclusive programming across Grades 7–12, inspiring students to develop lifelong healthy habits and a love of physical activity.

Requirements:

Completed Bachelor of Education Degree with a major or minor in Physical Education
Must have (or be eligible to obtain) an Alberta Teaching Certificate, or proof of application from
TQS placement or proof of application from the Alberta Teachers' Association
Successful candidates must provide an original, acceptable, recent Criminal Record Check (less than six months old)
