Job Summary
We are seeking a Multi-Instrumentalist Music Teacher with strong drumming skills as a core focus.
This role involves teaching group music classes to children (ages 5–15), while supporting additional instruments such as piano, guitar, or basic strings.
This is a structured teaching role, not casual or unplanned instruction.
Responsibilities
Teach group music lessons (5–8 students per class)
Deliver drum instruction with strong focus on timing, coordination, and rhythm
Support teaching of piano, guitar, or other instruments when needed
Prepare students for recitals, performances, and band rehearsals
Track student progress using an online learning system
Maintain a structured, engaging, and disciplined classroom environment
Requirements
Strong drumming experience (required)
Ability to teach at least one additional instrument (piano, guitar, etc.)
Experience working with children or youth (ages 5–15)
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Reliable, professional, and organized
Available weekday evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching group music classes
Basic knowledge of music theory (scales, chords, rhythm)
Live performance experience
Experience leading band or ensemble sessions
Compensation & Growth
Starting pay: $25/hour
Growth potential up to $40/hour based on performance, reliability, and leadership
