Line Cook/Prep Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team at Grandpa's Cafe - a Mexican-Style restaurant with a Western charm. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and ensure the kitchen runs smoothly during service hours.

Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and storing
- Assist in cooking and preparing menu items according to set recipes
- Maintain a positive and professional approach while working within a team environment
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and kitchen environment
- Ensure food quality by following proper food handling and safety procedures
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet customer needs and requests
- Help with inventory management and stock rotation

Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred (1-2 years)
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils, while practicing safe and effective knife skills
- Understanding of food safety guidelines and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a team player attitude
- Flexibility required: Ability to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
