Red Seal Carpenter

Overview
This position is located onthe Sunshine Coast and is one hour or longer ferry travel from Vancouver. You must reside in the local area on the Sunshine Coast from Gibsons to Pender Harbour.

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be able to work on a variety of projects, including residential and commercial construction. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.

Responsibilities

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
Assemble furniture and cabinetry according to specifications.
Perform concrete forming for foundations and other structures.
Install roofing systems, siding, and other exterior components.
Conduct construction painting as needed for finishing touches on projects.
Fabricate custom pieces for various projects based on client requirements.
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians and plumbers to ensure seamless project completion.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills

Proficient in carpentry techniques including framing, roofing, and cabinetry installation.
Experience with concrete forming and finishing.
Knowledge of electrical systems is a plus for integrated projects.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina for manual labor tasks.
Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in carpentry work.
Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
