I’m reaching out about my son Makoto, do you coach as young as just turned 8??. He’s in Little League AA (kid pitch), second season, and really loves baseball. He consistently gets on base but is still developing strength and consistency at the plate.
He also has a fencing background, so adjusting to hitting mechanics has been a bit of a process—he’s been getting different advice from coaches, which has made it hard for him to settle into one consistent swing/stance. And of course fielding.
He’s wanting to pitch, but we haven’t started that yet since I want to make sure he learns it safely and correctly. We are in 90077 zipcode but he goes to school at Broadway Elementary in venice and plays at North Venice Little League. Cheers, Mei (Mum)
