Universal Rail Solutions Inc. is currently seeking Labourers to support railway maintenance and construction activities across Manitoba.

The Opportunity
As a Labourer, you will work as part of a crew performing essential railway construction and maintenance tasks. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical, outdoor work, understand the importance of teamwork, and recognize that safety is the foundation of everything we do.

What You’ll Do
Manually grade ballast and rail surfaces
Remove and install spikes in rail ties
Shovel rock and dirt for manual grading and ballast clearing
Load and unload heavy materials on and off vehicles
Assist with the operation of small tools and equipment
Support general railway construction and maintenance activities
Perform other related duties as assigned
What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver’s Licence with a clean driver’s abstract
Basic understanding of survey grades and construction methods
Ability to read instructions and follow technical specifications and grade plans
Ability to perform physical labour, including:
Moderate to heavy lifting
Standing, bending, shovelling, and working outdoors
General understanding of, or willingness to learn, small equipment operation such as:
Rail saws
Drills and grinders
Spike pullers
Air compressors
Bolters
Backpack blowers
Ability to obtain required railway certifications, including CROR, TIGs, and other applicable qualifications
