Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our maintenance team in supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance expertise, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair heavy machinery efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to equipment upkeep, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of all heavy equipment assets.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair heavy machinery and equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Perform preventive maintenance tasks based on schedules and manufacturer guidelines
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to identify issues
Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work orders, inventory management, and documentation
Conduct welding, boiler maintenance, HVAC repairs, and low voltage electrical work as needed
Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper operation of automated systems
Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
Collaborate with production teams to minimize equipment downtime and improve operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities
Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing environments
Proficiency in electrical systems, including low voltage wiring and industrial electrician experience
Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately
Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking
Welding skills for repairs requiring metal fabrication or part replacement
Knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, and other auxiliary equipment is a plus
Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues
Customer service mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments in English
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.40-$47.76 per hour
