Security Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for our property, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring premises, preventing loss, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. This role offers an opportunity to serve as a key part of our security team, utilizing surveillance technology and law enforcement skills to uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to observe activity and detect suspicious behavior
Respond promptly to security incidents or alarms, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
Enforce property policies related to loss prevention and safety procedures
Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of daily activities
Assist visitors and staff with directions or inquiries in a professional manner
Conduct security checks on entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to ensure compliance with safety protocols
Qualifications

Prior experience in security, or related fields is preferred
Knowledge of surveillance systems and CCTV operation is highly desirable
Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques and security best practices
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail
Ability to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies or high-pressure situations
Good communication skills and professional demeanor
Must be able to pass background checks and any required training certifications

Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
