Job Description
Job Title: Auto Glass Certified Technician
Position Overview: The Auto Glass Technician will be responsible for repairing and replacing automotive glass and associated systems including calibration of ADAS Systems to the highest safety and quality standards. This role demands technical precision, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills. The Auto Glass Technician will work with various tools and equipment to ensure vehicles are restored efficiently and safely.
Position Type: Permanent, Full Time, On site
Reports to: Auto Glass Technical Services Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
Glass Repair and Replacement: Perform repair and replacement of windshields, side windows, rear windows, and other automotive glass components. Ensure proper fitment and sealing.
Health & Safety: Strictly follow all safety protocols.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections before and after installation to guarantee the integrity and quality of completed work. Follow all manufacturer guidelines.
Customer Interaction: Explain repair and replacement processes to customers. Provide accurate estimates and timelines. Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions. Submit reports and service logs as required.
Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Keep tools and equipment in good working condition. Perform regular maintenance checks and report any issues.
Mobile Services: Execute repairs and replacements at customer locations as needed. Ensure the service vehicle is stocked with necessary tools and parts.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in auto glass repair and replacement is a plus.
Experience in auto glass repair and replacement, with a strong technical aptitude.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Ability to lift loads up to 30kg.
Preferred Skills:
Certification in auto glass repair and replacement.
Knowledge of vehicle safety standards and regulations.
Proficiency in using specialized tools and equipment.
