Boom Truck Driver – Class 3 with Air

Springhill Lumber (Wholesale) Ltd. is looking for an experienced Boom Truck Driver. This position is from Monday to Friday with some overtime as required.

The successful candidate will receive full company paid benefits after 90-days.

Rate of Pay: Depending on Experience

Responsibilities:

Labour intensive with booming different building materials from roofing supplies, shingles, drywall, etc., daily to customers’/vendors sites;
Load and unload materials following the proper safe work procedures and requirements;
Ensure orders are accurately filled, loaded and secured following all safe work procedures;
Pick up any excess building materials from job sites as instructed and complete the proper paper work;
Complete all required paper work promptly and accurately. Including noting any order shortages or changes on the paper work;
Maintain a cleanliness and upkeep of company vehicles;
Other duties as required.
Requirements & Qualifications:

Hold a valid Class 3 with Air driver’s licence;
Ability to operate a manual transmission;
Crane and Rigging Certification;
Obtain and hold a clean Driver’s Abstract (must be current within 3 months);
Fall Protection Certification desired, but will train the right candidate;
Ability to do physical labour including lifting, carrying (over 50 Lbs.), bending repeatedly on a daily basis;
Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills;
Must be a team player, friendly, reliable, and organized;
Forklift Licence desired (but not required);
Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced, demanding working environment.
Reliable vehicle is required, as this is a non-bus route.
Working Conditions:

Exposure to dust and extreme changes in temperature and weather when working outside year around.
Safety boots and safety equipment are required.
Busy, high-volume environment.
