Accounting Technician

We are a growing real estate and property management company seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Professional to join our team. If you are proficient in both QuickBooks and Yardi, and have a strong grasp of full-cycle accounting, we want to hear from you.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced accountant who is comfortable handling day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and journal entries. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Yardi, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions
Process payroll accurately and on time
Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
Prepare and post journal entries
Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks
Utilize Yardi for property-level accounting and reporting
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Support financial reporting and audit preparation as needed
Qualifications & Skills

2+ years of accounting experience (real estate or property management industry preferred)
Proficiency in QuickBooks (desktop and/or online)
Experience with Yardi ( Breeze) is a strong asset
Solid understanding of payables, receivables, payroll, reconciliations, and journal entries
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Experience with Canadian accounting standards and tax requirements is an asset
Nice to Have

Accounting designation (CPA or working toward) is an asset but not required
Experience in real estate development or property management accounting
