Job Description

COMMUNITY MENTAL WELLNESS ASSOCIATION OF CANADA

The Community Mental Wellness Association of Canada is a registered non-profit organization that has dedicated the last 30 years to promoting mental health awareness by launching initiatives to reduce stigma and provide access to various community services and resources.

We are excited to announce that we are seeking motivated individuals who are passionate about community service and mental wellness to join our team as an administrative assistant.

The Government of Canada funded this job through the Canada Summer Jobs program. .

To apply for this job, you must:

Be aged between 15 and 30 years old on the start date of the job;
Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN); and
Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT POSITION

Involves general administrative and clerical responsibilities, including:

Preparing, editing, formatting, and proofreading correspondence, reports, presentations, forms, and other documents.
Answering phone calls, emails, and general inquiries in a professional and respectful manner.
Greeting visitors, volunteers, clients, and community members and directing them to the appropriate staff member or service.
Scheduling and confirming meetings, appointments, and events.
Opening, organizing, and distributing incoming mail and email.
Ordering and organizing office supplies and maintaining inventory.
Compiling data, statistics, and other information to support program planning, reporting, and research activities.
Assisting with day-to-day office procedures and helping ensure smooth office operations.
