Logistics Manager

Newfound Resources Limited is seeking a Logistics Manager to work in the St. John’s office. Newfound has been a local leader in the seafood industry since 1986 and currently operates the offshore shrimp trawler Newfoundland Victor. The Logistics Manager is responsible for the shipment of over 400 containers a year to customers around the world.

Key responsibilities include:

· Obtain competitive freight rates and arrange shipment of containers to customers

· Coordinate shipping schedules with customers, freight forwarders and cold storage staff

· Prepare documentation as required for each market, including CFIA Health Certificates, Catch Certificates, B13’s, etc and ensure the timely delivery to customers

· Monitor customer accounts and coordinate release of containers

· Monitor and manage inventory

· Review and approve service invoices

Requirements:

· A minimum of 2 years experience in a logistic environment shipping refrigerated containers

· A CIFFA Certificate is an asset

· Experience in the seafood industry is preferred

· Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with the ability to work with many nationalities

· Proficiency in Microsoft office

· Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently under pressure

· Experience with SAP would be an asset

· Knowledge of required documentation for various seafood markets would be an asset
