Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions efficiently, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role is perfect for individuals with strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for retail sales. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus, as they enhance our ability to serve diverse customers effectively.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases in a professional manner
Operate POS systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform basic math calculations with precision
Upsell products and promote store promotions to increase sales opportunities
Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits
Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the sales floor is tidy and inviting
Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
Follow phone etiquette standards when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth checkout processes
Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous
Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling
Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product presentation strategies
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Friendly demeanor with strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new technology sales tools or product demos as required
