Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to a individual in their home The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient well-being and possess relevant experience in senior care, hospice, or working with individuals with disabilities. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those needing support with daily activities and health management.

Responsibilities

Assist client with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Provide patient care that includes medication administration and health monitoring under supervision
Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring nutritional requirements are met
Help with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being
Assist with transfers and heavy lifting to ensure safety for both clients and staff
Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
Follow all safety protocols related to infection control, medication handling, and emergency procedures
Qualifications

Experience in assisted living, nursing home, home care, or hospice care preferred
Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility support safely
Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
Certification in medication administration or caregiving is a plus but not required
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or holidays if necessary
Prior experience in caregiving roles demonstrates a commitment to providing compassionate support
