Now Hiring – Full-Time Catering & Events Server
Location: The Explorer Hotel, Yellowknife, NT
Position Type: Full-Time
Are you passionate about hospitality and thrive in a fast-paced, event-driven environment? The Explorer Hotel is seeking a dedicated and professional Catering & Events Server to join our team full-time.

What You’ll Do:
Serve and pour food and beverages during banquets, meetings, and special events
Assist with setup and takedown of event spaces, including arranging tables, linens, and décor
Respond to guest requests with professionalism and attention to detail
Collaborate with the banquet and culinary teams to ensure smooth event execution
Maintain cleanliness and organization of event areas before, during, and after service
If not required in catering or event service, shift assignments may vary to support other outlets within The Explorer Hotel
What We’re Looking For:
Must be 19 years of age or older
Must hold a valid Safe Server certification or equivalent
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of our banquet and events schedule
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering memorable experiences
Ability to lift and move event equipment and stand for extended periods
Previous serving experience is an asset, but we’re happy to train the right candidate
Local candidates are preferred
