Hairstylist

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for clients. This role involves providing professional hair services, maintaining high sanitation standards, and engaging with clients to ensure their satisfaction. The Hair Stylist will also assist with retail sales and front desk responsibilities to support the overall operation of the salon. We start you out with 50% commissio.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, highlights, blowouts, and treatments tailored to client preferences
Provide exceptional customer service by listening to client needs and offering professional recommendations
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, workstations, and salon areas in accordance with health regulations
Upsell retail products to enhance client experience and increase salon revenue
Manage appointment scheduling and front desk duties such as check-in/check-out procedures
Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
Stay updated on current hair trends, techniques, and products through ongoing education and training
Skills

Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio of work
Excellent customer service and communication skills to create a positive client experience
Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols within a salon environment
Ability to upsell retail products effectively without being pushy
Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse clients and team members
Basic retail sales skills to promote products and services confidently
Front desk skills including appointment management and cash handling are preferred
