Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Personnel Assistant to support our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing HRIS systems, assisting with onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, and administrative functions. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in human resources management within a dynamic organization. The Personnel Assistant will be responsible for ensuring efficient HR operations, data accuracy, and supporting various HR initiatives to enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
Duties:
Manage and update HRIS systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Support onboarding and training & development programs by coordinating schedules and maintaining training records.
Facilitate employee relations initiatives by collecting data, preparing reports, and assisting with communication efforts.
Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, record keeping, and maintaining employee files.
Contribute to change management projects by supporting implementation activities and communication plans.
Assist with payroll timecards
Support project management activities related to HR initiatives and process improvements.
Provide general administrative support for HR functions including scheduling meetings, preparing documentation, and managing correspondence.
Skills
Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now an asset.
Knowledge of payroll.
Strong understanding of human resources management practices including talent acquisition, employee relations, training & development, and change management.
Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction across teams and departments.
Data collection and data entry expertise ensuring accuracy in HR records.
Ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently with attention to detail.
This is a two month contract with possibility of extension.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Halifax, NS B3S 1A2
