Maruia Hot Springs, an award-winning eco-resort in the Lewis Pass National Park, seeks a qualified Massage Therapist to join our team. You will provide therapeutic and relaxation treatments, including soft and deep tissue massage, body wraps, and clay therapies, while ensuring a nurturing guest experience.

A diploma in massage or two years’ experience is required.

Maruia Hot Springs is an award-winning eco-resort and wellness retreat nestled in the heart of the Lewis Pass National Park. Just 2.5 hours from Christchurch and 45 minutes from Reefton, our remote and completely off-grid sanctuary is surrounded by pristine beech forest, rivers, and alpine scenery. Guests come to reconnect with nature, rejuvenate, and immerse themselves in our natural hot springs, spa therapies, and wellness programs.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a qualified and dynamic Massage Therapist to join our dedicated team. This is a unique chance to live and work in one of New Zealand’s most stunning natural environments while supporting guests on their journey of relaxation, health, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Provide professional therapeutic massages, including soft tissue and deep tissue techniques

Administer treatments to promote relaxation, circulation, and relieve muscular tension

Assess guests’ needs and advise on relaxation or wellness techniques

Perform body treatments such as wraps or clay therapies as required

Maintain high standards of cleanliness in treatment areas and manage product supplies

Communicate clearly and warmly with guests to ensure a memorable spa experience

What We’re Looking For

A Diploma in Massage Therapy or a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience

A genuine passion for guest care, health, and wellbeing

Professional communication and interpersonal skills

Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a team environment

Willingness to live and work in a remote, nature-based setting
