Labourer / trades assistant / Handyperson / installer

MAG Welding Services is an award winning trades provider operating since 1999, Winner in Quality Business awards in ACT for 2024 and 2025, Australian Award finalist in 2024 and winner in 2025 as the best trade provider in Metal fabrication in Australia. We are looking for a trades assistant to assist with replacements in colourbond, timber and chainmesh fencing and gates, clotheslines and mailbox repairs and replacements , this postion is for residential work only not construction sites. This position does not require welding experience, this person must be reliable and fit for work., be able to work unsupervised as well as a team when required, what is required to apply for the position, we service ACT Housing, ACT Gov and Catholic schools and retirement villages

1. valid manual driver's license

2. OHS white card

3. Asbestos card

4. Silcia card

5. clean police check _ need this to get an ID card for access into certain properties / schools

6. Working with vulnerable people card

tool knowledge is a major advantage, and full training on the job is provided. what we offer:- 38 hrs per week

overtime available, Mon to Fri 7.30 - 4pm
fully maintained work vehicle during work hours,

over 21 yrs $32.50 - $35.00 per hr depending on experience

MAG Welding is a family-run business , this position does not require welding experience, all work is based on residential sites (nonconstruction). Job Type: Permanent casual but can provide 38 hrs
