Wall and Floor Tiler

Located in the Australian Capital Territory, and working within Canberra Metro and greater Australian Capital Territory. We are looking for qualified and experienced full time (38 hours per week) Wall and Floor Tilers to work in Canberra and ACT areas.

You will joining the established professional tiling company and its exciting tiling team.

You will be required to lay ceramic, clay, slate, marble and glass tiles on external and internal walls and floors to a high standard to provide protective and decorative finishes for residential and commercial projects.

Registration or licensing is not required.

Valid work visa required and/or Australian work visa (subclass 482) opportunities available for right candidate.

Qualifications: AQF Certificate III preferred but not essential

Experience: Minimum of 2 years fulltime experience as Wall & Floor Tiler.

Tasks include but are not limited to the following:

o examining plans, measuring and marking surfaces and laying out work

o preparing wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning surfaces

o spreading adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles, and setting tiles in position

o using tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes

o ensuring tiles are correctly aligned and spaced

o grouting tiles, and cleaning and removing excess grout

o applying waterproofing systems

o laying floors of granolithic, terrazzo, cement or similar composition

o laying and aligning colored tiles in patterns to create mosaics

o may training apprentices, junior and qualified Wall and Floor Tilers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
