Governance & Resource Management Group / Digital ID and Data Policy (GARM) Division
APS 4 ($82,613 - $94,289), APS 5 ($92,127 - $103,372) | Ongoing | Full-time

ABOUT THE DIVISION

A role in the Digital ID and Data Policy Division (DIDPD) is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is at the forefront of implementing the Government's digital and data-related priorities. DIDPD is a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about what we do. Our work is performed across the following four branches:

Digital ID Policy Branch
Responsible for developing policies and strategies which underpin the Digital ID Program. We also lead work on Verifiable Credentials and wider emerging technology.

Digital ID Legislation and Rules Branch
Provide legal advice on matters related to the administration of the Digital ID Act. We also design and maintain policy settings for the Digital ID Rules, Accreditation Scheme and the Australian Government Digital ID System.

Communications, Inclusion and Governance Branch
Provide specialist program management capability to the Digital ID Program and stakeholder engagement support. We also work to embed inclusion as a core principle of the Digital ID Program by identifying and removing barriers to people being able to obtain and reuse a Digital ID.

Data Policy and Assurance Branch
Administer the Australian Government Assurance Review process and provide whole-of-government coordination of public data policy. We also support the Minister for Finance as chair of the Data and Digital Ministers Meeting and drive implementation of the Intergovernmental Agreement on Data Sharing.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Executive Assistants report directly to the Digital ID and Data Policy Division's SES.

Key duties include:

liaising with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
monitoring and managing Executive email inboxes and calendars
tracking and coordinating incoming and outgoing Executive tasks
screening telephone calls and referring matters to relevant business areas
arranging travel bookings and approvals for Executive as required
conducting quality assurance checks of documents that require Executive clearance
financial management activities (e.g. credit card reconciliation and stationery orders)
records management
assisting with the group/divisional executive office and group/divisional tasks as required (e.g. urgent administrative tasks to support group/divisional priorities).

Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS) unless the Agency Head has agreed otherwise, in writing.
