Job Description

Exciting opportunity to support one executive!
Your new company
This well-known Federal Government Agency plays a key national regulatory role and is experiencing ongoing growth and transformation. They have a strong focus on governance, quality outcomes, collaboration, and offer a professional and supportive workplace. They are seeking an APS4 Executive Assistant to join due to recent staff movements.
Your new role
As the APS4 Executive Assistant, you will provide high‑quality administrative and executive support to an SES Band 1 executive. Working as part of a coordinated executive support team, you will assist with diary management, correspondence, meeting coordination, documentation, and stakeholder engagement. You will support executives by coordinating schedules, preparing and collating meeting papers, drafting correspondence, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with briefings. You will also work collaboratively with executive assistants across the organisation to support broader agency priorities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your new role, you will have previous experience in an executive assistant role and the Federal Government. You will also have:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Proven organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
Strong attention to detail and sound records management practices
Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Proven ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contemporary workplace technology, including video conferencing tools
To be considered for this role, you will need to be an Australian citizen and have a Government security clearance at the baseline level or higher.

What you'll get in return
You will join a professional, collaborative, and supportive team environment and gain experience within a nationally significant agency. You will receive either an extension on a non-ongoing contract or permanency, flexibility and career opportunities for your future.
