About the Role

Strait Link Logistics connects Tasmania to the mainland through an integrated blue-water and landside supply chain.This role is based within the Road Logistics area of the business.

We’re now looking for a strong operational leader to take ownership of our North West Coast Logistic Operations.
This is hands-on operational leadership in one of Tasmania’s most critical fast moving freight corridors.

You will have the opportunity to make this role your own and build a team of professionals that will support the business and our strong customer base whilst understanding the efficiencies that lay within a multi-layered team

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Lead daily transport operations across the region and build the future capacity of your team
Drive customer satisfaction and service consistency
Align fleet control and fleet support into one cohesive team
Optimise fleet deployment, route planning and productivity, resource management
Strengthen compliance with NHVR, CoR and fatigue management
Partner with Sales and Operations to align and build demand and capacity
Manage regional labour, maintenance and subcontractor spend through a support network

Who We're Looking For

You’re an experienced transport leader who understands heavy vehicle operations and the realities of Tasmanian freight.

You bring:

Enthusiasm to service our customer base and grow relationships at all levels of business
A desire to succeed, and to have your team succeed with you
Proven experience leading Logistic operations

Experience across merged or integrated operations will be highly regarded.
