Temporary Legal Information Assistant needed for an immediate start
Your new company
Our State Government client is seeking a detail‑oriented Legal Information Assistant to provide administrative support within a high‑volume, confidential environment. This role supports the processing of applications for access to health information and plays a key part in maintaining accurate records and regulatory compliance.You will work as part of a collaborative team, contributing to day‑to‑day operations while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and timely service delivery.

Your new role


Provide general administrative support including data entry, document preparation, scanning, and records management
Receive and respond to enquiries relating to access to health information via phone, email, and written correspondence
Log and track applications using dedicated databases and prepare associated documentation
Review and distribute incoming mail and coordinate courier services
Retrieve health service records, including from off-site storage, ensuring correct handling and documentation
Liaise with internal departments to obtain required information and records
Assist with document preparation for information release in line with established procedures
Process payments and maintain accurate financial logs
Support continuous improvement activities and quality initiatives as required

What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role with strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage records, documentation, and data accurately
Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Confidence using office systems and software packages
A high level of discretion and understanding of confidentiality requirements
