Based North of the river in Perth (Malaga), Grano Direct is an Australian owned and operated materials, tools and machinery supplier to the concrete construction industry. Our professional and cohesive team, work across branches in WA & NSW. We are a hard-working group, priding ourselves on delivering professional customer service, based on trust and integrity. We focus strongly on teamwork and partnership within the company attracting people with the same passion and dedication we present. Due to increased demand and growth within the business we are now looking to expand our team within the Service/Workshop department and looking for Full time Small Engine Mechanic.

We are on the hunt for a like-minded individual, eager to build and grow with us in the company. Someone who possesses an outgoing personality but can also get the work done. We are not just interested in a trades certificate, if you are mechanically minded and want a change, then we want you!

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

Proficiency in maintenance, servicing & repairs on a variety of small engine equipment (Power Cutters, Porta vibes, Trowel Machines, & Compaction equipment) utilising both petrol and diesel motors.
Diagnose, overhaul, repair, maintain and test small engines that are used in the concrete construction industry and are also used in chainsaws, brush cutters, self-propelled lawn mowers & outdoor machinery.
Detect and repair mechanical/electrical faults along with replacement of any worn and defective parts.
Perform routine services, tune-ups, oil changes, and filter replacements to ensure peak performance.
Carry out repairs/service to manufacturers requirements.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with customers.
Your Expertise & Our Expectations of this role:

Trade Qualification in relevant field or experience to compensate for qualification.
Minimum One-year full time experience or equivalent part time with relevant trade qualification (Or 3 years full time or equivalent part time experience if no trade qualification)
Positive can-do attitude
Ability to work within a team as well as independently.
Strong attention to detail and high job standards
Good fault finding & problem-solving skills, ability to think outside the box.
Immediate start preferred but not essential.
Forklift license desirable but not essential
Must have valid Australian work rights.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
