Job Description

Concreter wanted

Work Location: Waikato

Employment type: Full time (guaranteed 30 hours & maximum 40 hours per week) Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, rotating roaster ( Permanent- role)

Our pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour depending on personal ability


We are a well-established, Waikato based construction company that has become widely recognized for tackling a wide range of projects. To enhance our team, we are now looking for 1 Concreter to join our team


Ideal candidate should have a relevant qualification of level 4 or 2 years relevant work experience in field of Construction or concreter worker

Duties:

Weigh, mix, sample, and test concrete mixes to ensure compliance with specifications.

Place, spread, and level concrete on residential and commercial sites, adhering to construction drawings and strict tolerances.

Manage time-critical placement elements, including set times, weather conditions, and pour sequencing.

Operate hand and power tools—including laser screeds and mechanical trowelling machines—for floating, panning, finishing, and burnishing.

Apply appropriate finishing and curing techniques (using compounds, coverings, and other approved methods) to ensure high-quality, durable results.

Work with various slab designs, including steel fire slabs, reinforced slabs, combi-slabs, and post-tension slabs.

Maintain a detailed understanding of concrete mix designs and technical procedures.

Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant worksite in accordance with WorkSafe NZ requirements.

Ensure all tools, machinery, and equipment are operated safely and maintained in good working order.

Collaborate closely with supervisors, pump operators, and site crews to meet project schedules and pour requirements.
