The Opportunity

Beam Radiology is seeking an experienced Nursing Manager: Interventional, OR & Pain Management (Registered Nurse) to provide operational and clinical leadership across our interventional services, operating room (OR), and pain management program.

Reporting to the Clinical Lead (NP), this role holds primary accountability for nursing operations across multiple clinics and programs. The Nursing Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring high-quality patient care, efficient use of resources, regulatory compliance, and the continuous development of nursing staff and services.

The successful candidate will function as a clinical and operational leader, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment that includes radiologists, anesthesiologists, nurse practitioners, technologists, and administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities

Nursing Operations & Leadership

· Provide leadership and oversight of nursing operations across interventional, OR, and pain management services

· Ensure effective utilization of nursing resources while maintaining high standards of clinical care

· Establish role clarity, accountability, and performance expectations for nursing staff

· Serve as a key liaison between nursing teams and organizational leadership

Staffing, Recruitment & Performance Management

· Manage staffing models and scheduling to meet procedural demand and ensure equitable workload distribution

· Lead nursing recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and orientation processes

· Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and address performance concerns

· Foster a positive, respectful, and high-performing team culture

Clinical Quality, Safety & Compliance

· Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, licensing, and professional practice standards

· Lead accreditation preparedness and readiness activities

· Oversee infection prevention and control standards across programs

· Participate in audits, incident reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives

Program & Service Development

· Oversee the delivery and ongoing optimization of the pain management program

· Support the safe implementation of new procedures, technologies, and clinical workflows

· Collaborate with physicians and leadership to optimize OR flow, efficiency, and patient experience

Education & Professional Development

· Lead staff education, competency development, and clinical training initiatives

· Support mentorship and professional growth for nursing staff

· Identify and develop future nursing leaders within the organization

Collaboration & Communication

· Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical environment

· Build strong relationships with physicians, clinical leaders, and operational stakeholders

· Communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully with staff, patients, and leadership

Qualifications & Experience

Required

· Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)

· Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent

· Minimum 5 years of progressive clinical nursing experience, with leadership responsibility

· Demonstrated experience in interventional, perioperative/OR, and/or pain management settings

· Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills

· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities

· Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site healthcare environment

Preferred / Assets

· Previous nursing management or supervisory experience

· Experience in outpatient or community-based specialty care environments

· Certification or additional training in perioperative nursing, pain management, or leadership

· Experience supporting accreditation and quality improvement initiatives

Work Schedule & Environment (Include when applicable)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (occasional evenings, Saturdays, and extended hours based on procedural demand)
Location: In-person at Beam Radiology clinics across Calgary
Travel: Required between clinic locations
Environment: Clinical settings including interventional suites, ORs, and pain management clinics
