Western Australia | Full‑Time Employment

Wilson Security is seeking experienced Security / Access Control Officers to support Department of Defence Base Security Services across Western Australia.

This is a permanent full‑time opportunity, offering exposure across multiple Defence sites and strong career development within a national specialist Defence security network.

About the Role

You will play a critical role in protecting Defence personnel, assets, and infrastructure, operating within a highly professional and disciplined security environment.

This role offers variety and operational exposure across multiple locations, supporting dynamic Defence operations while maintaining consistent full‑time employment and benefits.

Key Details

Permanent full‑time employment
12‑hour rotating shifts (days and nights in a 24/7 environment)
Allowances and penalty rates in line with the Security Award
Potential earnings up to $90,000+ per annum
(subject to classification, allowances, overtime, and hours worked)
Dedicated Training Plan and OJT to ensure competency.
Deployment includes multiple Defence locations to build proficiency. Location dependant on your home suburb.
Key Responsibilities

Physical access control and gatehouse operations
Identification verification and personnel access management
Monitoring CCTV and electronic access control systems
Conducting internal and external security patrols
Incident response and emergency management
Contractor and delivery coordination
Hazard identification and reporting
Accurate incident and HSE reporting
Professional engagement with Defence personnel, contractors, and visitors
Essential Requirements (Non‑Negotiable)

Applicants must hold all of the following:

✅ Australian Citizenship
✅ Current WA Security Licence
✅ Unrestricted WA Driver’s Licence
✅ Current First Aid Certificate
✅ Availability for rotating 12‑hour shifts
Only candidates meeting all clearance and licensing requirements will be considered.

Desirable:

✅ Current AGSVA Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1, or NV2)
Note: Security clearances from other Commonwealth agencies may be transferable.
